Thank you for visting my website!

I look forward to sharing with you some of what I have done– and some of who I am.  I think the content of this website will more fully explain the reasoning behind the subtitle “exploring life.”

Some highlights of my career include the following:

    • National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Emmy Nomination
    • Substantial administrative, producing and entrepreneurial experience
    • Critical acclaim by The New York Times and other media
    • Dozens of awards for nationally broadcast documentaries
    • Film documentary narrators include Ed Asner, Paul Sorvino, John Turturro and two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Edward Albee
    • New York Press Association First Place Award
    • Three books: history, biography and creative nonfiction
    • Book endorsements by Candice Bergen and Bill Cosby
    • Inclusion in a college writing text also featuring  Annie Dillard, James Baldwin and Alice Walker
    • Official Selection in more than a dozen national and international screenwriting competitions
    • Political writing selected “best of the alternative press” annual volumes
    • Large national grants and fundraising success
    • Active speaker and media interviewee
    • Numerous awards for teaching, service and scholarship

There is more detail in the pages which follow.  Some things I have excluded because of time and space, such as short stories, and feature stories, and other works in a development stage.

If you have suggestions or I may help in any way, please let me know.

Lou…long long time but very fond memories. Life has been an interesting journey to say the least. Only now do I realize how lucky to have grown up in Canastota. And you were a fun chapter in my life book. Proud for and of you. Life is good. Carpe diem! Tx. Bob
